Bangalore: The Australian cricket team arrived here Wednesday evening to a traditional welcome with garlands, aarti and Nadaswaram music.
The Australians, defeated in the semi-final of inaugural Twenty20 world cup in South Africa by India, take on the hosts in the first of the seven One-Day Internationals on Sep 29 2007.
The team members did not interact with the media and drove straight to the hotel.
The team will have net practice Thursday morning at the Chinnaswamy stadium, the venue for the match.
The team has not scheduled any programme for Wednesday evening, as they would prefer to rest, said the local organisers.
The best competition all the Indian love to watch, but after India V.S. Pakistan is that of India fight with the awesome Australian Kangarooes. Here it comes in the month of September and October, right in India before India tours the Australia for the test matches in Jan 2008.
